Innovation. Research. Sustainability.

HTCycle is the first of its kind waste management solution that transforms agricultural waste (biomass) and sewage sludge (mixed waste) into a profitable, environmentally safe process. The comprehensive holistic solution targets two key environmental issues: it addresses the growing problem of waste disposal while generating valuable, limited resources such as phosphorus and carbon through the process of hydrothermal carbonization (HTC).

HTCycle’s vision is a clean-running world through innovation. We bring talented researchers, forward-thinking energy, management, technology experts and engineers to develop waste management solutions that are safe for the environment, cost-effective and profitable, resulting in end products with a high economic value.

Further delegation of international interested parties visits us
Interested parties of the HTCycle technology met again last week in Relzow to get to know the latest technology in the field of sewage sludge recycling and conversion. A big focus was also in the field of phosphorus recycling. A revised HTC plant was presented to the visitors, as the plant underwent extensive conversion measures in the course of the SME-EU project. The increasing pressure from the lack of conventional disposal capacities was clearly noticeable among the interested parties.Th...

Single solution for biomass and waste management
Hydrothermal carbonization is a chemical process for the conversion of organic compounds to structured carbons. The process, which technically imitates the brown coal formation taking place in nature within 50,000 to 50 million years within a few hours, was investigated by Friedrich Bergius and first described in 1913.
